The final assignment of our last year of technology was to create a PSA, in which we had to take a stand or discuss an issue that we were interested in. I did a PSA on how young women and girls should define beauty instead of letting society define it for them.

I felt that this was a very important topic to discuss seeing as though many young girls in America as well as  all over the world struggle with trying to be the “perfect beauty”. With this piece I tried to show that beauty comes in every shape,size, color and from and not one especially society should define what beauty is but YOU.

The assignment was to make a music video and/or a silent film. La’Vonnda and I chose to re-create the video ” Shut u and Let me Go” by the Ting Tings 

So, our second assignment was to pick any topic and do a short documentary on it. I choose to do my documentary on my mother and her job being a single mother to my sister and I.

Well it is my last year of SMASH and my last year of Technology. Our first assignment is a short introduction to film and the process of editing. Carlos, Diana , Fransisco and myself all took turns being in the hot seat and answered a few questions about our firs experiences with media and film and ultimately how we could us film in relation with SMASH.  Enjoy!
